Editing and manipulation of my magazine.

I uploaded my chosen image i wanted as my main front cover to photoshop. This is when i started playing around with the contrast to try and find the best contrast for my photo to bring out its highlights and lowlights.

I then began picking my chosen font for my magazine front cover. Originally i wanted my masthead behind the photo as i wanted to create the simple magazine look like indie magazine:

however this magazine's masthead isnt behind the photo the fonts and words are simple and the photo is the main focus. This is what i want my magazine to look like. I dont want lots of advertising like my first draft of my magazine looked like. I felt that was too busy and took the focus away from my photo. This final draft i want it to have this 'indie magazine' look. This is what im going to base my ideas and focus on, in creating my magazines cover, contents and double page spread.

Once i had chosen my masthead name HABIT i put it in white then changed the sharpness of the word so the white became more fadded and wasnt such a strong colour and was almost transparent. I felt this went well with the look i am trying to create.

This is my 1st draft of my final magazine with all the text i want. I got some feedback from classmates and they said it would look better if his signature was in a different place. I also notice looking at 'Indie Magazine' the magazine i am basing my front cover on and it has a little more description than mine.

With My double page spread i wanted it to have the same look and effect as my front cover: This is my first final double page spread:

I got some feedback and i moved my tag line up a picture and put in quotation marks. My final double page spread will be in 'MY FINAL DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD'
