It also specializes in magazines regarding technology, gaming, activitys, music obviously and movies.

EMAP
This was the second largest magazine publisher in the U.K with about 18% of the newsstand market by revenue.
This company however didn’t last and it was announced a strategic review. In a result to this, the company was split up and sold off in December 2007.

This was set up by ex-emap executives David Hepworth, mark ellen, Jerry Perksins and Andrew Harrison. Its first lanch was in march 2003 with WORD, which focused on music and entertrainment. Clubbing magazine was also bought called ‘mixmag’ in novemeber 2005.
The guardian media group took a 14% share in the company from july 2004.

A consumer magazine and digital publisher in the U.K, and has an extensive magazine portfolio that in total sells 350 million copies per year.
The company was founded in 1963.
It produces over 60 iconic brands, its focus is on three main target audiences: men, mass market women and upmarket women.
The mens portfolio consists of titles such as: country life, Nuts, Mousebreaker, Decanter and music magazine NME.
The mass market womens portfolio produces popular magazines such as look, Now and woman.
The upmarket womans division consists of: Instyle, Marie Claire, Woman and home and essentials.

Media groupd is a large german media company that works in over 15 counties across the globe
Founded in 1875 the company sells at least 38 million magazines a week. It sells and publishes over 282 magazines.
Popular music magazines include: Kerrang, Mojo and Q.
Other magazines include: Car,Closer and heat.
